A 102 Series Bar Feeder Collet with Internal Thread (often simply called a "102 Barfeed Collet") is a critical consumable used in automatic bar-loading systems for CNC lathes, particularly Swiss-type machines. Unlike the F-type collets used in the lathe spindle to grip the part during cutting, the bar feeder collet (or "finger chuck") is located at the end of the bar feeder’s pusher rod.
Its primary job is to grip the rear end of the raw bar stock to pull it back or push it forward during the loading and remnant-ejection cycles.
