Bar feeder collet pin type

The Series 100 Pin-Type Bar Feeder Collet (often called a "Pin-Style Finger Chuck") is a rugged and simplified work-holding solution for automatic bar loading. Unlike the threaded 101 or 102 series, the 100 series uses a cross-pin to secure the collet to the bar feeder’s revolving tip.

This style is a staple in high-production environments, particularly for Swiss-type lathes and cam-operated automatics where durability and ease of replacement are prioritized over a ultra-slim profile.

Advantages

High Pull-Out Strength
Because the connection is a physical steel pin through the body, it is nearly impossible for the collet to "unscrew" or vibrate loose, even under extreme axial force during the retraction of heavy bar remnants.

Resistance to Seizing
Threaded collets can sometimes "weld" themselves to the pusher due to fine metal dust and high-pressure coolant. The pin-type avoids this issue entirely.

Cost-Effectiveness
The manufacturing of a pin-type shank is simpler than high-precision internal/external threading, often making the 100 series slightly more economical as a consumable item.
